Other Features

Integrated Jump Detection

Thanks to the integrated jump detection, the switching point is not set absolutely to the measured value, but relatively. This means that the sensor reliably detects jumps and enables stable and precise object detection against any background, even in the event of misalignment or changing conditions. Jump detection can be used to count newspapers on a conveyor belt, for example.

Intensity Evaluation

In addition to the distance signal, the sensor also evaluates the light intensity. As a result, it not only detects distance deviations, but also contrast differences. The sensor switches as soon as either the distance or the intensity deviates from the setpoint. This enables easy part inspection, where even extremely thin objects are reliably detected against a background.
