wenglor Presents AI Lab Cloud-Based High-Performance Platform for Creating AI Models
With the latest machine vision release, wenglor sensoric group is introducing the AI Lab: a browser-based platform for training AI models for industrial image processing. The AI Lab enables efficient data management and AI model training in the cloud, while the uniVision 3 software enables image recording and the high-performance execution of AI models on machine vision products. The weHub software ensures seamless communication between the AI Lab cloud platform and the uniVision 3 image processing software. In the “AI Loop” workflow, weHub handles the upload of image data and the download of AI models. The AI Loop provides users with an intuitive workflow for easy and fast AI modeling. With uniVision 3, the modular standard software for wenglor machine vision devices such as the B60 series smart cameras and the MVC series machine vision controllers, images and height profiles can be evaluated easily and flexibly – without any programming knowledge. With the uniVision AI license package, rule-based applications can now be combined with self-created AI models to ensure maximum flexibility in image processing applications. wenglor machine vision hardware is automatically detected in the local network via weHub and all relevant device settings can be made directly. In the AI Loop, weHub also serves as an interface between the AI Lab cloud platform and the local network.  Maximum Ease of Use and Exceptional Performance Working in the AI Lab is characterized by a uniform interaction pattern and logical workflows. The weHub connection tool enables images to be uploaded quickly and easily to the cloud automatically from uniVision 3 or via file upload.  Several data sets can be efficiently managed to create AI models directly. State-of-the-art cloud infrastructure with computing power in the high-performance range enables deep learning for very powerful AI models for image classification, which makes it possible to train even large data sets and complex AI models.  Scalable User Management and Targeted AI Model Optimization The cloud structure enables flexible, location-independent access to the AI Lab, so projects can continue at any time. User management enables scalable working: Records can be edited simultaneously and shared between different users. The data stored in the cloud is backed up regularly to keep it available in the event of technical failures. Various tools are available for evaluating and optimizing created AI models. In addition to the integrated heatmap function, both automatic validation and a review function can be used for targeted improvement of the model performance. AI Lab Plans : the Right Plan for Every Requirement The use of the AI Lab is based on prepaid plans, which differ in terms of the scope of resources. The training credits can be used flexibly during the active term. All plans are transparent and do not include automatic renewal. The Highlights at a Glance: Capture image data and execute AI models locally on wenglor machine vision devices via uniVision 3 weHub software for device discovery and as a connection tool between local network and cloud-based AI Lab Efficient data management in the cloud Exceptional computing performance in the high-performance range Cloud architecture for flexible access and remote working Scalable working thanks to user management Automatic backups for data backup Intuitive operating concept Targeted AI model optimization through integrated heatmap function, automatic validation and review function

weFlux²micro with M5 Thread: The Smallest Pressure Sensor for High Performance
Confined mounting spaces and compact system structures are a major challenge for the pressure measurement of liquids and gases. Thanks to its small diameter of just 14 mm, the new weFlux²micro pressure sensor enables measurements at previously inaccessible locations for the first time. Pressure ranges between –1 and +25 bar can therefore be installed for the first time in hydraulic clamping systems, tight lubrication bearings or compact 3D printers. A look at the details reveals why minimum size and maximum performance go together perfectly here. Several factors contribute to the fact that the weFlux²micro is smaller than an AA battery: Not only the small diameter of only 14 mm, but also the small process connection with M5 thread saves space. The miniature pressure sensor is also just 22 mm high, making it perfect for extremely tight systems. Thanks to its low weight of only 13 g, it can even be mounted on robot arms and moving system parts. And it doesn’t even have to compromise on performance: “System designers and engineers have long needed to monitor pressure in hard-to-reach places. Now there is a high-performance sensor product that also meets these requirements,” explains wenglor project manager Lars Rieken. “The weFlux²micro fills this gap: It is small, light and powerful at the same time." Robust Housing for High Performance With a response time of less than one millisecond and a measurement error of less than 0.5%, the sensor is very fast and very precise. The robust stainless steel 316L housing is ideal for harsh industries. Thanks to the high IP68 degree of protection, the sensor is resistant to aggressive cleaning agents and chemicals. Thanks to the analog output signal (4 to 20 mA), the sensor can be ideally integrated into existing systems. Positive-locking segmented cable compression provides additional protection in the event of mechanical tensile and rotational loads. New Fields of Application Thanks to the Small Installation Size The miniature format of the weFlux²micro is ideal for monitoring pressure cylinders in hydraulic or pneumatic clamping systems. Any pressure changes in the interior must be detected with great accuracy. “There is practically no space in these clamping systems for machine tools. Nevertheless, our integrated sensor ensures precise measurement in the medium,” says Rieken. “Due to its low dead weight, these systems can also be mounted on robot arms – another plus.” The size advantage also comes into its own in lubrication systems for ball bearings, gears, chains or linear guides. There, the sensor records the values required for correctly monitoring the lubrication quantity. And also in enclosed systems such as 3D printers or welding and milling systems, the small sensor enables precise monitoring of extraction devices or vacuum chambers. The Highlights at a Glance Small diameter of just 14 mm Low weight of just 13 g  Pressure range from –1 to +25 bar Process connection with M5 thread IP68 degree of protection thanks to stainless steel 316L housing Response time Measuring error of ≤0.5% Analog output signal 4 to 20 mA Positive-locking segmented cable compression
