Skid Position Detection in Drying Ovens with Inductive Sensors for Extreme Temperature Ranges
In the automotive industry, bodyshells must be dried after painting in long drying ovens at extreme temperatures of several hundred degrees Celsius. In order to reliably detect the position of the skid beams along the conveyor belt and thus ensure continuous transport, inductive sensors for extreme temperature ranges are installed on the side of the skid lifting device. Thanks to their flexible and robust cable, the regular lifting and lowering movements of the skids do not influence the measurements.
Inductive Sensors for Extreme Temperature Ranges
These inductive sensors detect contactlessly metallic objects in extreme temperature ranges. With increased switching distances and a very robust design, the sensors are designed for a long service life of several years.
