Flow and Temperature Monitoring in Cooling Circuits of Power Generators with Fluid Sensors
In high-power, water-cooled generators, closed cooling circuits ensure that the units do not overheat. When cooling stators and rotors, the temperature and flow velocity must therefore be monitored. For this purpose, fluid sensors are installed in the lines independently of the flow direction, which simultaneously record the temperature and flow velocity. If the required temperature is exceeded or the flow velocity is not reached, the pump changes the water volume or switches off the generator.
