Cooling Flow Monitoring of Welding Tongs with Flow Sensors
In order to protect welding tongs in spot welders from overheating and thus from excessive wear, cooling water is channeled through the welding caps during operation. For this purpose, the main line is divided into smaller cooling circuits via a distributor block, which enables more precise control. The cooling flow rate of 100 to 150 cm/s is precisely monitored in each line via a flow sensor and control valve. In addition, the sensors also measure the temperature so that any overheating can be detected immediately on the display and rectified immediately.
