Variable Character Length

Variable character length is a characteristic of some barcodes that do not have a fixed character length. Examples: Code 2/5 variable character length, but always an even number of characters Codabar variable character length Code39 variable character length Code128 variable character length In these cases, code length is only restricted by the maximum scanning width of the scanner.
