Through-Beam Sensor

A through-beam sensor is a mode of operation for photoelectronic sensors. The emitter and the receiver are situated in two separate housings and are mounted such that the light beam emitted by the emitter strikes the lens at the receiver. If the light beam is interrupted, the output is switched accordingly.
