Temperature Measurement in Milk Collection Tank with Temperature Sensor

Dairy plants store milk in stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 3 and max. 8 °C. Temperature sensors are installed at the bottom of the tanks with immersion sleeve and welding adapter to measure the temperature. As tanks are regularly cleaned to sterile state, sensors must operate with high accuracy and short response times, even at temperatures up to 150 °C. The adapter welded hygienically to the tank and the immersion sleeve enable the sensor to be removed without opening or emptying the tank. The system does not require any further sealing.

Temperature Sensors

Temperature sensors measure and monitor liquid and gaseous media with high accuracy and fast response times. Modular designs and process connections allow them to be used individually. The weFlux² series has IO-Link for setting parameters.
