Position Detection of Switching Flaps Using Miniature Fork Sensors
Switching flaps are used in conveyor systems and machines to reliably detect positions, end positions, or states. A miniature fork sensor detects the switching flap as it passes through the fork and triggers a precise switching signal. Unlike inductive sensors, the reproducibility of the switching point remains constant regardless of the switching distance. In addition, manufacturing tolerances or slight deformations of the switch flag are reliably accommodated. Thanks to their compact format and high switching frequency, these sensors are particularly well-suited for confined installation spaces and high-speed motion sequences.
Fork Sensors
Fork sensors work with a collimated laser light beam with a diameter suitable for the detection of small objects. The emitter and receiver are housed in a plastic or corrosion-free stainless steel housing, which enables applications in hygiene areas.
