Position Control of Shiny Metal Components by Laser Distance Sensors Triangulation

In the manufacture of miniature circuit breakers (MCBs), also known as automatic circuit breakers, the individual components are first positioned manually by the operator on a rotating device and then welded automatically. Four laser distance sensors triangulation reliably check whether all components are correctly and completely positioned on the device. The welding process only starts if the detection is correct. The high measuring accuracy of the sensors ensures interference-free detection of shiny components, even under difficult conditions.

The contactless laser triangulation sensors work according to the angle measurement principle, which enables reliable and highly precise measurement in the close range up to 1,000 mm. The triangulation sensors deliver stable measured values regardless of colors, shapes, rough and textured surfaces.
