Unmatched In Blue. The World’s first ToF Sensor with Blue Laser Light
The P1PY21 series redefines the limits of sensor technology: as the world’s first time-of-flight sensors with blue laser, they deliver precise measurement results even under extreme conditions. Thanks to its shorter wavelength, blue laser light does not penetrate as deeply into the object surface, enabling stable detection of dark, glossy, organic and (semi)transparent materials. An integrated special filter minimizes interference from high-emitting objects such as glowing metals and ensures reliable detection even in demanding industrial environments. This combination of innovation and precision makes wintec with blue light the ideal solution for complex applications in automation technology.

Advanced Features for Every Measurement Task
Dynamic Jump Detection
Jump detection detects changes in the measured value instead of absolute distances. It enables accurate copy counting, detects flat objects on uneven surfaces and is suitable for edge counting.

Intensity Evaluation
Intensity evaluation can be used to detect the finest contrasts based on the reflected luminous intensity. It guarantees exact part inspection according to height and color and ensures reliable fault detection.

Integrated Speed Measurement
Speed measurement with ToF sensors is non-contact and wear-free. It detects movements over very long distances regardless of the surface of the test object.

Reliable Distance Measurement at the Highest Level
The P1PY21 series uses the Dynamic Sensitivity (DS) technology to accurately detect objects over long distances. The sensor emits ultrashort laser light pulses and statistically evaluates the signals to determine the exact distance value.
With a measuring range of up to 5,000 mm and a reproducibility of only 3 mm, the sensor delivers reliable results even under difficult conditions. High ambient light resistance up to 100,000 lux and immunity to interference ensure maximum stability in challenging environments.

Firebed Monitoring in Pellet Kilns h4>
In pellet kilns, the firebed height must be continuously monitored in order to control the heating efficiency optimally. This is where time-of-flight laser distance sensors with blue lasers are used. Thanks to the short-wave blue laser light, the large light spot and a special filter that filters out disturbing radiation, they reliably measure the distance to the firebed and deliver stable measurement results even on the uneven surface of the glowing pellets. This allows the combustion process to be optimally controlled and the heating efficiency to be continuously monitored and improved.
Fill-Level Monitoring of Bulk Material h4>
Injected plastic parts are often transported as bulk material and filled into a material bunker for further processing, separated and fed to the next production step. Continuous level monitoring of the bunker is essential for a smooth production flow. Due to their large linear time-of-flight laser distance sensors with blue laser deliver reliable results – even on uneven or inclined surfaces. Due to the large measuring range, the sensors are also suitable for a wide range of bunker sizes and operating environments.
