Detection of Print Marks on Tea Packaging via Contrast Sensors
Before tea bags can be filled, they must first be folded into their characteristic tea bag shape. To ensure that all packaging is uniform, print marks are applied to the packaging films. A contrast sensor reliably detects the marks through a small, round white light spot to monitor the folding, gluing and cutting process. Its small, compact 1M design makes it ideal for use in confined spaces.
Contrast Sensors
Contrast sensors with switching or analog output measure the brightness of objects. Sensors with switching output compare the brightness level with a reference value in order to detect contrast marking, for example. Sensors with analog output provide the measured brightness as a proportional voltage signal in order to monitor brightness curves, for example.
