Decoding DataMatrix Codes for Identifying Car Interior Doors

In the automotive industry, the quality of individual components of passenger car interior doors, such as window controls or armrests, must be visually checked for different types of door at the same time. A vision system with several cameras is installed for this purpose. In order to uniquely identify the door before the test procedure, a 1D/2D code scanner reads a datamatrix code loaded on the door. Thanks to the flexibility of the C mount threaded connection, the code is reliably detected even from great distances. Its decryption selects the correct test program in the vision system.

1D/2D Code Scanners

1D/2D code scanners read printed, engraved, etched or directly marked codes at high speeds – regardless of the location, position or condition of the code. Data can be transferred via Industrial Ethernet and settings can be received via the intuitive user interface Weblink.
