Daisy Chain

Daisy chain is an operating mode by means of which up to nine scanners can be connected to each other via their RS-232 interfaces. The network consists of one master and up to eight slaves. The master controls scanning operations executed by the slaves with a serial trigger signal. A slave which is series connected downstream from another slave receives all of the data read by the upstream slave. This data, as well as the data read by the downstream slave, are transmitted to the next downstream slave. The last slave in the network sends all acquired data to the master.
