Compact Sensor Solutions for Precise Object and Label Recognition

With the new fork sensors in miniature design and label sensors, the wenglor sensoric group is expanding its portfolio with powerful solutions for various detection tasks in packaging, conveyor and automation technology. While the fork sensors enable reliable object detection in confined spaces, the label sensors ensure stable labeling processes for transparent, glossy or low-contrast materials.

The new fork sensors combine a particularly compact format with high switching accuracy. This makes them easy to integrate even in confined installation situations, such as in shuttles or automated guided vehicles. They capture small parts from a size of 0.7 mm and are available in three fork widths of 10, 20 and 30 mm. This allows them to be used flexibly in various applications. With their low weight, space-saving format and IP67/IP68 degree of protection, the miniature fork light barriers are particularly suitable for applications in conveyor systems, assembly processes and robots.

The portfolio is complemented by label sensors with optical or ultrasound-based technology for the detection of a wide range of label materials. The optical sensors use infrared light to identify labels based on the light signal received. Its compact format and high reproducibility enable reliable detection of both thin and thick labels at high belt speeds. Ultrasonic label sensors detect labels regardless of color, transparency and surface finish based on different sound attenuation. This makes them particularly suitable for transparent, glossy and low-contrast labels. With a response time of only 0.25 ms, they also ensure reliable detection at high belt speeds.
