Breakage Monitoring of Chocolate Bars with 2D/3D Profile Sensors
When producing chocolate bars, it must be ensured that broken or bubbled units are sorted out in good time before packaging. A 2D/3D profile sensor with a large visual field is installed above the conveyor belt to detect defective items. It uses laser triangulation to simultaneously record the contour of several bars over the entire belt width – with micrometer accuracy. Thanks to its stainless steel housing and high IP69K protection class, the sensor is resistant to cleaning agents and is therefore ideal for the food industry.
