wenglor Employees Celebrate Company Anniversary and New Building
Last weekend, the sensor and machine vision expert wenglor sensoric group invited almost 500 employees from all over the world to the company headquarters in Oberhof in Tettnang for a two-day mega-event. The occasion was the 40th anniversary of the group of companies as well as the almost completed new building and the impressive economic growth of recent years. While the evening gala as a variety show event inspired the international guests with a variety of shows and musical acts, over 3,000 friends and family members enjoyed entertaining attractions, company tours and delicious food during the family day.
Variety Show Evening Entertains over 400 Guests
The two-part event kicked off on Friday with a festive evening gala for the employees of the medium-sized company. Almost 500 international and local wenglor employees experienced selected shows from art, music and folklore in a specially constructed, circular variety show tent. Breathtaking aerobatics artists, amazing magicians, Romanian folk dances or classic violin sounds from Bulgaria captivated the audience – and were met with ample applause. Before and after the individual performances, guests were served a five-course dinner at festively set tables.
Colorful Family Program for Young and Old
On Saturday afternoon, wenglor opened its doors to all family members: The company headquarters in Oberhof was transformed into a colorful funfair for several hours, with a wide range of things to experience: Acrobatic groups, unicycle artists, fairground attractions such as shooting ranges, bungee trampoline, bubble soccer and much more made children’s eyes light up in particular. But the adults were also taken care of: Interesting tours of the company and a wide selection of sweet and savory food and drinks left nothing to be desired for the around 3,500 guests of the innovative family. “Our two-part event was a complete success. The varied program and numerous attractions ensured a lively atmosphere and happy faces among our employees and their families,” wenglor Managing Director Fabian Baur was delighted to report. “We would like to thank everyone who made this event possible.”
Past and Future in One Event
wenglor has many reasons to celebrate at the moment. The family-run company is not only celebrating its 40th anniversary, but is also delighted to report that two new development and production centers at the sites in Tettnang and Unterschleißheim are complete. Founded in the early 80s as a two-man company by Dieter Baur, the wenglor Group has now developed into a global player with over 1,000 employees. Last year, the Group also reached the sales mark of EUR 100 million for the first time. Growth was not the only reason for one of the biggest events in the company’s history: “After almost three years of pandemic, economically challenging times and months of hard work, all members of the innovative family deserve to celebrate in style,” says Fabian Baur, praising the workforce. “With this event, we wanted to thank everyone for their commitment and dedication and celebrate with them. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.”
