Stacking Height Detection on Colored Plastic Crates with Long-Range Laser Distance Sensor
In the beverages industry, plastic crates of different colors are stacked vertically on top of each other before and after the cleaning process. In order to reliably detect the maximum stacking height of four meters, a long-range laser distance sensor is installed above each stack on the hall ceiling. These measure the exact height of the colored stacks of boxes analogously from top to bottom – regardless of whether they are glossy, matt, new or used. Thanks to the robust stainless steel 316L housing, the sensors are ideally protected against water vapor, dirt and even cleaning agents.
