Position and Speed Measurement in Film Stretch Machines via Laser Distance Sensors Time of Flight
To store pallets safely and transport them in a stable manner, they must be wrapped reliably with stretch film. Precise control of the film carriage is crucial. A laser distance sensors time of flight continuously measures the exact position in millimeters and the speed of the film carriage in millimeters per second. This optimally controls the winding height, film overlap and reinforcement zones. Even film distribution, material-saving winding and high process reliability are thus guaranteed even with sensitive loads.
Laser Distance Sensors Time of Flight
Laser distance sensors Time-of-Flight (ToF) work according to the principle of transit time measurement, which means that they cover large working ranges up to 10,000 mm, so that objects can be reliably detected even at great distances. The ToF sensors are extremely robust against interfering ambient light, which ensures reliable operation.
