Inductive Ring Sensors from wenglor Win the Red Dot Award 2025 for Extraordinary Product Design
Tettnang/Essen – Based in Tettnang, Germany, the family business wenglor sensoric has won the Red Dot Award in the Product Design category for its inductive ring sensors. This prestigious award is from one of the largest design competitions in the world and widely regarded as an important seal of approval. In addition to their outstanding design quality, award-winning projects are also based on impressive, innovative ideas.
With its inductive ring sensors, wenglor sensoric group has set new standards for reliable and precise detection of small metal parts within feed hoses. These sensors combine innovative design with sensory precision. Its seperable housing with two-part coil enables quick and flexible mounting/dismounting of the sensor on feed hoses and thus solves a common problem in industry by making the mounting process far simpler. This also helps to minimize machine downtime when replacing hoses or making necessary repairs. The robust and compact design with a cable outlet in the direction of the hose also facilitates use in confined spaces, while the all-round visible LED display and intuitive plug-and-play connection ensure ease of use. “We are delighted that the expert jury of the Red Dot Award recognizes the thoughtful interplay of attractive design and powerful technology on our inductive ring sensors. Our motivation was to develop ring sensors that are precisely tailored to the needs of the industry in order to optimize operations by making them smoother and more efficient. We are proud that our functional and innovative product design has now been awarded.”, says Fabian Baur, General Manager of wenglor sensoric group.
The Red Dot Award: Product Design is considered one of the largest, most prestigious design competitions in the world. Companies can submit applications for their products in 51 different categories. The products winning awards in each category will be presented at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen and online at www.red-dot.org during the week of June 19.
