INTT Inductive Sensors for High Temperature Ranges

The inductive sensors for extreme temperature ranges of the INTT series are designed for temperatures of up to 250 °C. Due to their robustness and heat resistance, they enable reliable use in environments such as drying plants and industrial furnaces.

Non-Contact Object Detection in High Temperature Ranges

High temperature inductive sensors from the INTT series detect metallic objects – contact-free. Thanks to their particularly heat-resistant housing design, they reliably perform presence and position checks as well as end position queries under extreme conditions of up to 250 °C. Their robustness ensures years of use in machines and systems with very high temperatures, such as industrial furnaces, drying, burner or combustion plants.

weproTec Technology

The INTT series is equipped with the patented weproTec technology. This prevents sensors positioned directly next to each other from interfering with one another. This means that multiple queries can be reliably implemented even with minimal installation space.

When the sensors are installed opposite each other, weproTec reduces the minimum distance from eight times to 1.5 times the nominal switching distance.

Flexibility during Installation

The INTT series offers maximum installation flexibility with two sensor head variants. The plug-in sensor head enables quick sensor replacement and easy and cost-effective maintenance, as only the head needs to be replaced. Alternatively, the sensor head is available with a fixed cable. Its high degree of protection makes it ideal for applications in environments where the highest degree of tightness is required.

Other Features

Large Switching Distances

The sensors of the INTT series have high, configurable switching distances of up to 40 mm.

Dynamic Applications

The INTT series also includes special sensor types that have been optimized for use in moving applications.

PWIS-Free

The sensors can be used safely in paint processing. The materials used in the product are free of substances that interfere with paint wetting.

Flexible Cable Lengths

The cable length can be individually selected between 1 and 30 m to enable clear cable management.

Mounting Variants for Maximum Adaptability

Quick-Release Fastener

The quick-release fastener makes changing the sensor particularly easy and quick. The rear screw simply needs to be loosened slightly and the sensor removed. Now the new sensor can be inserted and the screw tightened again.

Fine Adjustment

Precise positioning is possible with the screws in the four elongated holes. These are loosened slightly. The sensor can now be moved back and forth until it is precisely aligned. The screws are then tightened again.

Sectors and Applications

Automotive Industry

Inductive sensors for extreme temperature ranges are used in the automotive industry to detect metal skids or car bodies.

Glass Industry

Inductive sensors for extreme temperature ranges are used in the glass industry to detect metallic objects.

Steel Industry

Inductive sensors for extreme temperature ranges detect various goods carriers in the steel industry.

Food Industry

In the food industry, inductive sensors for extreme temperature ranges are used to detect baking trays.

Detection of Metal Skids in Drying Systems

In drying systems in the automotive industry, paints applied to body shells must be heated for drying. Each chassis is placed on a skid carrier. This is transported through the furnace on a chain conveyor with temperatures of up to 250 °C. Inductive sensors for extreme temperature ranges are installed on the side in order to be able to reliably monitor the positions of the skid carrier there. These detect the skid carrier at a distance of 35 mm. As these welded carriers have manufacturing tolerances of a few centimeters, sensors with high switching distances are required.

Reliable Detection of Baking Trays

In the production of baked goods in commercial bakeries, dough pieces are transported on stainless steel baking trays through special ovens and baked at temperatures of up to 250 °C. In order to monitor the presence of the trays, inductive sensors for extreme temperature ranges are installed in the oven. In addition to extreme temperature fluctuations, these sensors must also withstand interference such as mechanical influences. Even the hot steam generated in the oven does not affect the sensor’s function thanks to the IP65 degree of protection.
