In the packaging industry, collaborative robots handle the automatic gripping and transfer of cartons between pallets and conveyor systems. To reliably detect the distance to cartons and ensure precise gripping, a miniature design ultrasonic distance sensor is mounted directly on the gripper. The sensor detects objects and measures distances to workpieces or obstacles within a range of up to three meters, regardless of shape, color, or changing lighting conditions.
