Position Control of Rubbish Bales via B60 Smart Camera and AI
In the recycling industry, waste is often pressed into bales and tied together with plastic wires to prevent it from falling apart again. For the bales to be untied automatically, they must be placed with the wire at the side so that it is visible to the camera. If the wire is not visible to the camera, the bale is wrong way round. A B60 smart camera is used for monitoring. The captured images are compared with reference images via an AI network. This means that the plastic tie can be reliably detected despite bales with different appearance.
