Effective Gloss Detection: The New GM04 Gloss Sensors for Reliable Surface Inspection
With the new generation of GM04 gloss sensors, wenglor sensoric group is updating its portfolio in the field of photoelectronic sensors. The sensors enable a precise distinction between matt and glossy surfaces. They are suitable for the reliable detection of transparent labels or adhesive tapes on packaging. They also help to reliably monitor paint and glue applications as well as drying conditions.
GM04 sensors are characterized by their universal use. The flexibly adjustable degree of gloss offers maximum flexibility in adapting to different materials. Due to their high insensitivity to vibrations or object movements, the sensors always switch reliably. Intuitive adjustment is possible via a potentiometer and the IO-Link interface offers fast data transfer. In the compact M design (57.3 × 27 × 16 mm), they ensure stable object detection in a working range of 5 to 40 mm. Thanks to IP67 protection class, they are protected against dust and water and can be used in the temperature range from –25 to +60 °C.
