Stop Category
Stop categories (according to EN 60204-1) define how an actuator (drive element) is stopped.
Stop category 0
Uncontrolled shutdown by immediate disconnection of the power supply to the actuators. This stop category may be used for shutdown in the event of danger.
Stop category 1
Controlled shutdown by time-delayed disconnection of the power supply to the actuators after the machine has been put into a safe state. This stop category may be used for shutdown in the event of danger.
Stop category 2
Controlled shutdown without disconnecting the power supply to the actuators. This stop category may not be used for shutdown in the event of danger. Instead, it is to be used only during an operating mode change.
