Multiple Scanning

Multiple scanning is a process utilised by certain systems by means of which the scanned barcode is first saved to intermediate memory, and cannot be transmitted until a second code has been deciphered. This makes it possible to encode information character strings as barcodes which exceed the maximum scanning width of the respective device. This method is used with Code39 and Code128, and can be activated and deactivated at the scanner as a rule.
