Data Matrix Code Scanning on Plastic Hoses in Varying Light Conditions with 1D/2D Code Scanners
Plastic hoses for the automotive industry are assigned with data matrix codes for unique identification. Despite varying lighting conditions and changing positions, codes must be reliably recorded and decoded on the conveyor belt. A 1D/2D code scanner with automatic brightness and sharpness control is installed over the conveyor belt in order to compensate for these fluctuations and reliably detect the codes even when ambient conditions change. This ensures that each object is optimally identified in the tightest of spaces with high scan rates.
