Shape Monitoring of Corrugated Cardboard via Laser Distance Sensors Triangulation
During corrugated cardboard production, the corrugated profile of the cardboard must be measured continuously. Several laser distance sensors triangulation installed next to each other monitor the profile and thus ensure consistent product quality – even at very high production speeds. Due to their high accuracy, the sensors also reliably detect corrugated cardboard of different colors, surfaces and brightnesses. Permanent monitoring and dynamic adjustment of the processes allow deformations to be detected at an early stage and corrected quickly.

The contactless laser triangulation sensors work according to the angle measurement principle, which enables reliable and highly precise measurement in the close range up to 1,000 mm. The triangulation sensors deliver stable measured values regardless of colors, shapes, rough and textured surfaces.
