Can Position Monitoring on High-Performance Transport Systems Using Laser Distance Sensors Triangulation
To avoid disruptions in the production process, cans must be placed with the opening facing up during production and the filling process in high-performance transport systems. Horizontal or missing cans must therefore be detected in good time. Several laser distance sensors triangulation are installed above the conveyor line for this purpose. These sensors reliably monitor all conveyor lines simultaneously and check the correct position of the cans via distance and intensity measurements. Misalignments and empty transport sections are thus detected early and can be corrected in good time.

The contactless laser triangulation sensors work according to the angle measurement principle, which enables reliable and highly precise measurement in the close range up to 1,000 mm. The triangulation sensors deliver stable measured values regardless of colors, shapes, rough and textured surfaces.
