Privacy Notice for the Use of the AI Chatbot Calli
1. Description of the Chatbot
On this website, we offer you the AI-powered assistant Calli. Calli is an AI chatbot that answers your technical questions about wenglor machine vision products and the software tools uniVision, weHub, wenglor vision viewer, and Ai-Lab. This is explicitly an AI system and not a human contact person.
2. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the GDPR for the processing of your personal data in connection with the use of the chatbot is:

3. What Data Is Processed?
When using the chatbot Calli, the following data is processed:
• Your text inputs (questions and messages) entered in the chat window
• The responses of the chatbot
• Technical connection data (session ID, cookie identifier, time of request)
• Anonymised feedback on response quality (smiley rating), if provided
We expressly point out that you should not enter any personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, customer numbers) into the chat window.
4. Purpose of Processing
The data is processed for the following purposes:
• Answering your technical questions about wenglor products
• Improving the quality of the chatbot service based on anonymised feedback
• Ensuring technical operation and protection against misuse
5. Legal Basis
The processing of your data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest consists in offering you, as a customer, fast and efficient technical support for our products and in continuously improving the quality of our services.
6. Engagement of Anthropic as Data Processor
The chatbot Calli is based on the AI model Claude by Anthropic PBC, 548 Market St, PMB 90375, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA (www.anthropic.com). Anthropic processes your inputs as a data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR solely for the purpose of providing the chatbot service and not for its own purposes.
A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) exists with Anthropic, which is automatically incorporated as part of the commercial terms of service for the Claude API. Anthropic undertakes therein to process your data exclusively on our instructions, to implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures, and to notify us without undue delay of any personal data breaches.
7. Transfer of Data to Third Countries (USA)
Your inputs are transferred to Anthropic in the USA for processing. Under the GDPR, the USA is considered a third country without an equivalent level of data protection. The transfer is based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR, agreed between wenglor sensoric and Anthropic. A copy of the Standard Contractual Clauses may be requested from our Data Protection Officer.
8. Retention Period
Anthropic processes your inputs solely to respond to the respective query; the data is not used to improve or train AI models in the context of commercial API usage.
9. Transparency pursuant to the EU AI Act
Pursuant to Art. 50 of the EU AI Act, we inform you that Calli is an AI system. You are not interacting with a human employee. The responses generated by Calli are based on AI processing and may contain errors. For binding technical information, please contact our support at: support.wenglor.com.
10. Your Rights as a Data Subject
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data vis-à-vis wenglor sensoric GmbH:
• Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
