Press Releases

wenglor is a young, innovative company that is constantly on the move. Learn more about the globally operating sensor manufacturer.

Production sequences in the pharmaceuticals and food industries are subject to extremely demanding hygiene standards. Thanks to corrosion-free stainless steel, FDA-conformity and Ecolab certification, wenglor’s new P1HJ00X laser fork sensor in InoxSens hygienic design provides maximized protection when detecting objects. Thanks to the collimated laser beam, extremely fine quality inspection in the micron range is strictly routine – with fork widths of up to 220 mm.

At the beginning of May, wenglor sensoric GmbH bought all shares in Munich 3D specialist ShapeDrive GmbH. ShapeDrive is an internationally leading manufacturer of components and systems in the field of 3D coordinate measuring technology for industrial, medical and scientific applications. By means of this acquisition, wenglor is expanding its innovative portfolio for 3D measuring technology to include a further highlight and offers its customer all over the world new solutions for automated manufacturing and quality assurance.

The new weQubeVision software module with pattern matching makes wenglor’s Smart Camera even simpler and more intelligent. As of immediately, complex image processing applications can be implemented in just three simple steps without expert know-how – thanks to edge-based object detection. The new software license is available in the hardware variant with auto-focus or with C mount threaded connection.

The New U1KT001 Ultrasonic Reflex Sensor with IO-Link

No larger than the enter key on a PC keyboard, the U1KT001 ultrasonic reflex sensor is distinguished by a large range of 400 millimeters. Two independent switching outputs can be taught in via teach-in or IO-Link in order to detect liquids, as well as dark, transparent or reflective objects at any two switching points. These make it possible to precisely monitor minimum and maximum values when measuring fill-levels, distances and stack heights – even where interference factors prevail such as ambient light, fog or dust.
