Press Releases

wenglor is a young, innovative company that is constantly on the move. Learn more about the globally operating sensor manufacturer.

2D/3D sensors from wenglorMEL experienced strong growth in mid-November: The new performance class for weCat3D profile sensors MLSL2 includes a total of ten innovative models. As a result of this expansion, the sensors provide even more options for three-dimensional object measurement. In particular they permit large visual field widths of up to 1350 mm in the X direction, as well as increased laser power and even more extensive and faster profile detection.

PNG//smart – this is the designation under which wenglor sensoric introduced a new generation of photoelectronic sensors (photoelectronic next generation) to the market at the beginning of October. In keeping with the motto “Making Industries Smarter”, intelligent sensors with five different functional principles were presented. Consistently equipped with IO-Link 1.1, they stand for thinking, networked, learning sensors for the future of Industry 4.0. The 1K miniature design was presented as the first representative of the product range.

With switching distances of up to 50 mm and magnetic field resistance of 200 mT, wenglor’s new inductive sensors with correction factor 1 boast top technical data in comparison with international competitors. A total of eight new welding-field resistant models with four housing designs offer impressive performance for the detection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. And thus wenglor provides a comprehensive, high-performance product portfolio in particular for the steel and automotive industries.

Smaller, more intelligent, more efficient: with its new P1KY10x high-performance distance sensor, wenglor has introduced the smallest transit time sensor currently available on the market. With miniature dimensions of just 32 x 16 x 12 mm, an IO-Link interface and ranges of up to 1500 mm, the sensor offers a unique combination of compactness and performance.
