Presence Check of Labels on Shiny Cans with Gloss Sensors
In the packaging industry, labels are applied to cans in so-called hot glue labeling machines. To ensure a high quality standard, it is necessary to check that the labels have been correctly applied to the corresponding cans. For this purpose, a gloss sensor with laser light is installed next to the conveyor line. The sensor detects the different degree of gloss between the high-gloss tin and the matte label. This enables reliable presence check.
