Position and Height Detection of Bread Doughs with 2D/3D Profile Sensors

In order for baked goods to retain their characteristic appearance, the raw dough pieces must be scored before baking. In automated bakeries, this scoring process is carried out by robots. A 2D/3D profile sensor must measure the entire web width before cutting so that the robots know the exact position and height data for this process. This conveyor tracking is carried out by stainless steel sensors with protection class IP69K. The 3D point clouds generated by the sensors are combined with the conveyor speed via external software to determine the object position.

2D/3D Profile Sensors Stainless Steel

2D/3D profile sensors measure objects 360° all the way around, precisely control the positions of robots and inspect surfaces with micrometer accuracy. The weCat3D stainless steel model is particularly suitable for cleaning-intensive washdown areas.
