Automatic Tracking of Large Packages via 1D Code Reading with Sweep Raster Scanner
In intralogistics, pallets are transported on roller conveyors. Sweep raster scanners are located on both sides of the conveyor lines. Large areas can be scanned thanks to the moving laser lines up and down. This reliably identifies barcodes of different sizes, positions or arrangements on the packages. The detection range between object and scanner is also variable and can be between 10 mm and 750 mm. The scanners are connected to the system with one cable each for power consumption and Ethernet connection.
Barcode Sweep Raster Scanners
Sweep raster scanners record many codes on one surface. Individual adjustment options for the oscillating mirror as well as a recovery function enable the reading of damaged codes. Decoding takes place acoustically or via an LED display. Networking to bus systems is possible via separate gateways.
