Dynamic Pressure Monitoring of Objects in Vibrating Spiral Conveyors Via Reflex Sensors with Background Suppression and IO-Link

In vibrating spiral conveyors, screws, rivets or bolts are separated via a spiral using vibration and transported away. In order to keep the dynamic pressure on the transfer station at the top end of the spiral to a minimum, the presence of the objects is monitored from above with a reflex sensor with background suppression. The response and fall time can be individually configured via the integrated IO-Link interface to pre-set necessary adjustments due to the vibration and different objects. This guarantees that the objects are reliably detected.

Reflex Sensors With Background Suppression

Reflex sensors with background suppression detect and measure objects contactlessly and detect them in front of any defined background. They work with red light, infrared light, blue light or laser light. Thanks to the principle of angle measurement, the color, shape and object surface have no influence on the switching behavior of the sensors.
