Safety Light Curtain Type 2 for Connection Unit A
The Safety Integrity Light Curtain Type 2 together with the Connection Unit A offers hand protection (Resolution 30 mm) through Performance Level d (PL d) and Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL 2). Thanks to the slender housing, the visible red light and the simple configuration via DIP switch, a quick and secure startup is possible. Up to 2 transmitter and receiver units can be connected to the central Connection Unit and then be cascaded.

Certified Safety
The Safety Light Barriers comply with PL d according to EN ISO 13849-1 as well as SIL 2 according to EN 62061 / EN 61508. These high safety demands have been certified and approved by the TÜV South. They are ESPE type 2 according to EN 61496.
Operating and Function modes
The Safety Light Barriers generally integrate various operating modes (Fix Blanking) and function modes (Safety Operating Mode, Restart Inhibit, Contactor Monitoring, Muting).

The Connection Unit A has 2 safety orientated semiconductor outputs. The version R2 has 2 safety orientated and potential free relay outpus.
